  • 1/2 c. Unsalted butter or possibly margarine
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 3 ounce Unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 c. Sifted cake flour
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Lowfat sour cream
  • 4 ounce Instant chocolate pudding mix - (1 pkg)
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and grease and flour an 8-inch springform pan.
  2. Beat together the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add in the Large eggs and beat till light and fluffy. Beat in the chocolate and vanilla.
  3. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add in the dry ingredients to the butter-and-egg mix, alternately with the lowfat sour cream, pudding mix, and butter mix. Stir in the lowfat milk to thin the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50 to 55 min or possibly till cake tests done. Cold in the pan on a wire rack for 10 min. Turn out onto a rack, and cold completely. Fill or possibly frost as desired.
  5. This recipe makes 8 servings.
