Ингредиенты

  • 1 x 14 ounce can minced tomatoes (or possibly Mexican style tomatoes)
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 c. rice
  • 3 c. water
  • 3 x green onions, minced
  • 1/2 can olives, minced (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp crushed pepper (pizza style)
  • 1 pch salt

  1. Saute/fry rice in oil over medium heat till each grain of rice is slightly browned. Add in crushed pepper and green onions, and saute/fry till onions start to turn translucent/soft (about 1 minute). Add in tomatoes, water, olives, garlic and salt. Bring to a boil, stir to mix spices. Cover and turn down heat to low. Cook at low heat 30 min.
  2. Fluff and serve.
  3. Makes about 6 1-c. servings.
  4. peppers. I buy a little can, and divide it's contents into about 3 portions. Use one for this recipe, and freeze the other two in small Ziploc bags for next time! This is similar to Spanish rice, but has a warm and smoky flavor.
