- Beat the eggwhites and the water until peaks form.
- Add in sugar and vanilla sugar and beat a little bit to mix.
- (I use the vanilla sugar from Dr. Oetker. Use a few drops of vanilla if you don't have vanilla sugar).
- Stir the egg yolks untill broke and add in to mix.
- Use a seave to add in flour and cornstarch and fold through mix.
- Use springform approx. 28cm. Grease only the bottom, NOT the sides.
- Put the form on the bottom rack in the oven at 175C (325 F) for 40 to 45 min.
- Don't open the oven during baking, the cake could collapse.
- Check the cake at the end of the baking time. A toothpick poked in the centre should come out dry. If not, bake for another 5 min or possibly more.
- Put cake on a rack to cold.
- Once cold slice in half horizontally.
