  • 8 lrg Milky way candy bars
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 1/2 c. Sifted flour
  • 2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. Buttermilk
  • 2 c. Minced nuts

  1. Grease two 9 inch layer cake pans or possibly one 9 x 12 pan. Preheat oven to 325 deg f. Combine candy bars and 1 c. butter in a double boiler and heat over warm, but not boiling water, till melted. Set aside. Cream together the remaining butter and sugar, till light and creamy. Add in Large eggs, one at at time, beating well between each addition. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add in to creamed mix, alternately with flour. Add in melted candy and blend till smooth. Spoon batter into prepared pan(s).Bake for 50 to 60 min in 9 x 12 pan or possibly 40 to 50 min in layer pans.Cake should spring back when lightly touched. Frost as desired.
