- ¾ cup smooth peanut butter, not natural
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 t vanilla
- ½ cup whole milk
- 6 full size Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- For the glaze:
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 T unsalted butter
- 6 oz high quality milk chocolate, chopped or in discs (about 1 cup)

%20in%20an%20actual%20city.%20You%20know,%20as%20opposed%20to%20the%20fresh%20air,%20clean%20living,%20absolutely%20no%20restaurants%20worth%20speaking%20of%20tiny%20little%20town%20I%20live%20in!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyway,%20Chocolate%20Party!%20I%20took%20last%20month%20off,%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20even%20remember%20why%20now%20(chaos%20of%20school%20starting?),%20but%20I%20was%20super%20excited%20for%20this%20month.%20The%20theme%20was%20once%20again%20candy,%20just%20like%20Bundt-A-Month,%20probably%20because%20we%20all%20know%20Halloween%20is%20coming%20and%20people%20will%20be%20looking%20for%20recipes%20to%20use%20up%20all%20the%20candy%20their%20kids%20haul%20home.%20Anyway,%20Roxana,%20our%20fearless%20Chocolate%20Party%20host,%20requested%20our%20treats%20have%20both%20candy%20and%20a%20separate%20chocolate%20in%20them.%20So%20I%20knew%20I%20probably%20wanted%20a%20non-chocolate%20base,%20with%20some%20kind%20of%20chocolate%20accent%20in%20addition%20to%20a%20candy%20accent.%20So%20as%20to%20not%20create%20chocolate%20overload.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst,%20I%20decided%20to%20go%20looking%20for%20inspiration%20in%20a%20new%20used%20cookbook%20I%20had%20picked%20up,%20Cupcakes!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E,%20by%20Elinor%20Klivans.%20Long%20time%20readers%20may%20have%20noticed%20that%20I%20find%20her%20baking%20books%20to%20be%20full%20of%20lots%20of%20inspiring%20ideas.%20When%20I%20saw%20the%20recipe%20for%20peanut%20butter%20cupcakes%20I%20immediately%20started%20thinking%20about%20Reese%E2%80%99s%20Cups.%20Then%20I%20thought%20of%20my%20Nordic%20Ware%20Bouquet%20Pan,%20which%20I%20had%20recently%20acquired%20in%20honor%20of%20my%20birthday%20(yes%20that%20means%20I%20splurged%20on%20myself!),%20and%20realized%20I%20did%20not%20want%20to%20make%20cupcakes.%20And%20what%20better%20way%20to%20sink%20a%20candy%20surprise%20into%20a%20mini%20cake%20than%20to%20use%20a%20bundtlette?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESammy%20helped%20me%20make%20the%20cakes.%20The%20best%20part%20(as%20far%20as%20she%20was%20unconcerned)%20was%20unwrapping%20each%20individual%20Reese%E2%80%99s%20Peanut%20Butter%20Cup%20and%20pushing%20it%20ever%20so%20slightly%20into%20the%20partially%20filled%20cake%20pan.%20To%20say%20she%20was%20super%20excited%20about%20how%20these%20would%20come%20out%20is%20an%20understatement.%20Normally%20I%20am%20stickler%20for%20letting%20glazes%20set,%20but%20as%20you%20can%20see%20there%20was%20enough%20build%20up%20for%20these%20that%20we%20all%20pretty%20much%20got%20smeared%20in%20chocolate:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20actually%20Alex%20who%20helped%20me%20to%20glaze%20the%20cakes.%20She%20also%20insisted%20on%20taking%20pictures%20of%20them.%20Don%E2%80%99t%20be%20surprised%20if%20someday%20in%20the%20future%20you%20see%20a%20guest%20post%20from%20Alex!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20want%20to%20participate%20in%20Chocolate%20Party,%20just%20make%20a%20recipe%20with%20chocolate%20(any%20color!)%20and%20candy.%20Follow%20these%20rules,%20and%20then%20link%20up%20below:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.)%20Blog%20about%20your%20chocolate%20treat.%20Your%20recipe%20must%20include%20the%20two%20ingredients%20we%20choose.%20It%20can%20be%20a%20simple%20no%20bake%20treat%20or%20a%20sophisticated%20layer%20cake,%20the%20complexity%20level%20of%20the%20recipe%20is%20totally%20up%20to%20you.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.)%20Include%20a%20link%20back%20to%20a%20monthly%20round-up%20or%20the%20Chocolate%20Party%20page.%20Optional,%20add%20the%20Chocolate%20Party%20logo%20in%20your%20blog%20post%20or%20on%20your%20sidebar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.)%20Your%20recipe%20must%20be%20published%20during%20the%20current%20month.%20Please%20do%20not%20link%20old%20recipes,%20they%20will%20be%20deleted.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20here%20is%20the%20linky:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20325%20F%20(CHECK%20THIS).%20Thoroughly%20grease%20and%20flour%20a%206%20cake%20bundtlette%20pan.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20together%20the%20flour,%20baking%20powder%20and%20salt.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20the%20butter%20and%20peanut%20butter%20together%20until%20well%20mixed%20and%20creamy.%20Scrape%20the%20sides%20and%20bottom%20of%20the%20bowl.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20half%20of%20the%20sugar%20and%20beat%20to%20incorporate%20for%202%20minutes.%20Add%20the%20remaining%20sugar%20and%20scrape%20the%20sides%20and%20bottom%20of%20the%20bowl.%20Beat%20for%203%20minutes%20on%20medium%20high%20speed%20until%20lightened%20and%20fluffy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20in%20the%20egg%20and%20vanilla.%20Scrape%20the%20bowl.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20whole%20milk%20and%20flour%20mixture%20alternately,%20beginning%20and%20ending%20with%20the%20flour%20mix,%20in%203%20flour%20additions%20and%202%20milk%20additions,%20on%20low%20speed.%20Finish%20by%20folding%20and%20scraping%20along%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20bowl%20to%20completely%20incorporate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDivide%20about%20%E2%85%94%20of%20the%20batter%20between%20the%206%20bundtlette%20wells.%20Place%20a%20single%20full%20sized%20Reese%E2%80%99s%20Peanut%20Butter%20
