1/2 c. chopped onions
6 tbsp. salad oil (you may use bacon drippings here)
1 can string beans, liquid removed
1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce (or possibly ketchup)

2 tbsp. sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon lemon juice
Pepper

Cook onion in salad oil till tender. Add in remaining ingredients and heat thoroughly, tossing frequently with fork.
