Рецепт Mashed Cauliflower
If you love mashed potatoes, you are going to love this. Mashed cauliflower has the creamy comfort of mashed potatoes without all of the carbs, so go ahead and have seconds.
It is simple to make too; it begins with a head of fresh cauliflower that is chopped into bite- sized pieces, and cooked with garlic. Place it in a food processor with some butter and milk and that’s it. I have even passed it off as mashed potatoes to some unsuspecting family members!
Mashed Cauliflower
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Medium Head of Cauliflower
- 3 Cloves of Garlic
- 1 Tablespoon of Butter
- 1/2 Cup of Milk (or more depending on size of cauliflower)
- 3 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese (Optional)INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut the cauliflower into bite sized pieces and coarsely chop the garlic
- Place the garlic and cauliflower into a pot and add enough water to cover half of the cauliflower
- Cover and cook over medium to low heat for 20 to 30 minutes - until it becomes tender
- Drain water from cauliflower/garlic mixture and place in food processor*
- Add the butter and half of the milk and process
- Gradually add milk until mash reaches desired constancy
- Stir in the Parmesan Cheese and serve
- *Cauliflower can be mashed with an immersion blender too
