Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.   Add the mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.  Once it stops spluttering, add cumin seeds and stir fry till they turn light brown in colour.   Add chopped onions and saute till they become translucent.  Then add ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves.  Saute till the raw smell of the ginger-garlic goes away. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they become soft.  Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt,  Mix well. Sprinkle little water and mix the spices well with the mixture.  Then add chopped idlis and mix very well.  Add tomato ketchup and mix again. Once the mixture is well absorbed by the idlis and  become moist and soft,  switch off the flame.  Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot. NOTES/TIPS You can also use mini idlis instead of regular idlis.  In that case, you need not chop them. You can add pav bhaji masala instead of garam masala.  It gives a different and good flavour to the idlis.   Related RecipesChapathi upma or phodnichi poli recipe – how to make chapati or roti upma recipe – snacks/breakfast recipesCorn pakoda recipe – how to make sweet corn pakoras/pakodas recipes – Indian snacks recipesHow to make aloo bhujia or potato sev recipe – Diwali snacks recipesKara kadubu recipe – How to make kara kadubu (steamed spicy dumplings) recipePaneer tikka recipe – How to make paneer tikka dry recipe – paneer tikka on tawaAloo palak paratha recipe – how to make aloo palak (potato spinach) paratha recipePoha cutlet recipe or avalakki/aval cutlet recipe – easy snacks recipeOats muffins recipe – How to make eggless oats muffins recipe – Healthy recipesOats dhokla recipe – How to make oats dhokla recipe – oats recipesTomato omelette recipe – how to make tomato omelette recipe – eggless | veg omelette recipe
