  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 7/8 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 stick butter, soft
  • 2 Packages yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 6 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. flour for kneading

  1. Bring the following to a boil: lowfat milk, 7/8 c. sugar, salt, butter and cold to lukewarm. Mix yeast, 1/2 tsp. sugar, and lukewarm water in a glass. Set aside.
  2. Mix flour and what germ; make a nest and add in all the liquids and stir. Let sit 20 min. Use an additional c. of flour and knead bread 8-10 min. Let rise till double. Punch down, make into rolls or possibly loaves. Let rise again. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min.
