%20I%20bet%20you%20want%20to%20know%20her%20name...and%20I%20bet%20she%20already%20knows.%20;)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20so%20ready%20for%20this%20day%20that%20I%20already%20knew%20that%20if%20I%20got%20Katrina's%20blog%20-%20Baking%20with%20Boys,%20that%20I%20would%20be%20baking.%20%20Um,%20OK,%20her%20blog%20is%20about%20two%20of%20my%20very%20favorite%20things.%20%20%20Baking%20and%20Boys.%20%20;)%20%20Those%20two%20things%20in%20common%20are%20what%20eventually%20brought%20us%20together%20back%20in%20the%20old%20days....and%20I'm%20talking%202008%20-%20when%20I%20was%20in%20the%20Tuesday's%20with%20Dorie%20group%20with%20her.%20%20We%20both%20loved%20to%20bake%20(obviously)%20and%20we%20both%20had%20a%20houseful%20of%20boys.%20%20Well,%20my%20house%20was%20an%20empty%20nest%20by%20then,%20but%20in%20any%20case,%20we%20still%20had%20that%20in%20common!%20%20I%20am%20still%20holding%20out%20hope%20that%20she%20and%20I%20will%20get%20to%20meet%20one%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20all%20that%20said,%20how%20could%20I%20not%20bake%20and%20since%20she%20loves%20chocolate%20so%20much,%20I%20knew%20I%20had%20to%20do%20something%20with%20chocolate%20in%20it.%20%20So,%20bananas%20on%20my%20counter%20that%20were%20way%20too%20ripe%20told%20me%20it%20was%20going%20to%20be%20her%20Marbled%20Banana%20Bundt%20cake.%20%20It%20would%20make%20Grumpy,%20me,%20and%20most%20importantly,%20Katrina%20happy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20asked%20Grumpy%20the%20day%20I%20made%20this%20cake%20if%20he%20was%20going%20to%20his%20office%20the%20next%20day.%20%20His%20response%20was%20no.%20%20I%20then%20asked%20him%20if%20his%20secretary%20was%20going%20to%20be%20at%20the%20office.%20%20His%20response%20was%20%22I%20think%20so,%20but%20why%20don't%20you%20leave%20something%20here%20for%20once?%22%20%20ha%20ha.%20%20He%20didn't%20want%20me%20giving%20that%20cake%20away!%20%20He%20wasn't%20crazy%20about%20the%20strawberry%20glaze%20I%20put%20on%20it,%20but%20he%20didn't%20want%20it%20going%20anywhere%20outside%20of%20this%20house%20either!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20a%20little%20nervous%20about%20making%20this.%20%20What%20if%20it%20didn't%20turn%20out?%20%20After%20all,%20Katrina%20bakes%20in%20high%20altitudes.%20%20While%20I%20live%20in%20the%20foothills%20of%20the%20Catskills,%20I%20am%20no%20where%20near%20the%20high%20altitude%20that%20Katrina%20is.%20%20I%20took%20my%20chances%20anyway%20and%20guess%20what?%20%20The.%20cake.%20turned.%20out.%20perfect.%20%20I%20watched%20it%20rise%20in%20the%20oven.%20%20I%20made%20sure%20to%20use%20my%20timer%20so%20I%20didn't%20forget%20it%20was%20in%20the%20oven.%20%20When%20I%20peeked%20in%20the%20oven%20to%20see%20how%20it%20was%20rising,%20I%20knew%20I%20had%20a%20winner.%20%20I%20was%20absolutely%20ecstatic.%20:)%20%20Definitely%20a%20recipe%20that%20must%20be%20made%20(and%20made%20more%20than%20once!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20adapted%20Katrina's%20recipe%20to%20fit%20what%20I%20had%20in%20my%20pantry.%20%20I%20used%20white%20whole%20wheat%20flour%20and%20sour%20cream.%20%20I%20also%20decided%20to%20use%20some%20of%20the%20strawberry%20frosting%20I%20had%20made%20for%20the%20Strawberry%20Cake%20Bonbons.%20%20You%20can%20find%20the%20frosting%20recipe%20on%20that%20particular%20post!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20to%20say%20one%20more%20thing.%20%20If%20Katrina%20did%20not%20get%20me%20this%20month%20then%20I%20guess%20I%20am%20staying%20in%20group%20A%20for%20a%20while!%20%20I'm%20pretty%20sure%20she%20is%20as%20anxious%20to%20have%20been%20partnered%20with%20my%20blog%20as%20I%20was%20with%20hers.%20%20After%20all,%20we've%20waited%20since%20the%20beginning%20of%20this%20club!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlease%20read%20on%20to%20the%20end%20of%20the%20recipe%20to%20see%20what%20other%20members%20of%20the%20SRC%20created!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBanana%20Chocolate%20Marbled%20Bundt%20Cake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBy%20adapted%20from%20Baking%20and%20Boys%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPublished%2006/01/2014%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees.%20Spray%20a%20non-stick%20bundt%20pan%20with%20cooking%20spray%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%204%20ounces%20of%20dark%20chocolate%20in%20microwave%20safe%20bowl%20at%2020%20second%20intervals%20until%20smooth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20the%20flour,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt%20in%20medium%20size%20bowl.%20Whisk%20to%20combine%20then%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl%20using%20hand%20mixer,%20cream%20the%20butter%20until%20smooth.%20Add%20the%20sugar%20and%20mix%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Add%20the%20eggs,%20one%20at%20a%20time,%20mixing%20completely%20after%20each%20addition.%20Mix%20in%20the%20vanilla%20extract%20and%20bananas%20and%20mix%20until%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20flour%20and%20sour%20cream%20alternately,%20starting%20with%20flour%20and%20ending%20with%20flour,%20stirring%20until%20just%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%201/2%20of%20the%20batter%20into%20a%20medium%20sized%20mixing%20bowl.%20Add%20the%20melted%20chocolate%20and%20stir%20until%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20two%20batters%20by%20heaping%20spoonfuls%20alternately%20around%20the%20pan%20in%20layers%20until%20both%20batters%20are%20used.%20Swirl%20all%20the%20way%20to%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20pan%20with%20a%20knife%20to%20marble%20the%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2050-60%20minutes%20or%20until%20a%20cake%20tester%20inserted%20into%20center%20of%20cake%20comes%20out%20clean.%20Set%20cake%20on%20cooling%20rack%20for%2010%20minutes.%20Remove%20cake%20from%20pan%20to%20finish%20cooling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDrizzle%20with%20strawberry%20glaze%20(or%20glaze%20of%20your%20choice)%20or%20leave%20plain!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%2012%20servings%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrep%20Time:%2000%20hrs.%2020%20mins.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
