Рецепт Mango Lassi with rose water
by Nisha

This is not a recipe per se but one of the most popular Indian drink. Choosing Mamgo Maania theme and not doing this dish, is doing injustice to blogging. Surprisingly, it is so popular outside India than in the mainland. Punjab, the land that churns the most delectable rich Indian food is where this Lassi originates from. Traditionally there are two types of Lassi - a sweet and a salty version and this falls under the former.

This is one of the best ways to enjoy fruit and keep your cool during summer. Simple, refreshing, healthy and very filling, you can even have this for breakfast. Since mangoes are in season during summer, this will be an apt drink to chill out.

Mango Lassi with rose water

Mango puree combined with plain curd and Milk/water. The traditional recipe is tweaked a little and rose water is added.

Prep Time: 10 Mins | Cook Time: - | Total Time: 10 Mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients

Instructions

Blend all together in a mixer. Check for sweetness and adjust. If the consistency is very thick, add some more water.

Serve it chill.

Notes

Alphonso mangoes themselves are sweet, so consider that while adding sugar. You can also use other types but try to avoid the fibrous and stringy mangoes for this recipe.

Consider the measurement as a ballpark figure. Adjust the ingredients as per your liking.

Add water according to the consistency you prefer. The amount mentioned above will yield a slightly thick lassi.

Use a non flavoured plain curd | yoghurt. It should be thick, fresh, and slightly sour.
