Рецепт Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
Nothing beats the taste of an ice cold Chocolate Malt
Not a Chocolate Shake, a Creamy Chocolate Malt...
Made with Malted Milk Powder.
A Chocolate Malt is a nostalgic treat.
Memories of Soda Fountains in the 1960's with
The song "Sugar Sugar" playing in the background.
Ahh, the good ol' days~
Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies are in honor of
My favorite nostalgic treat a...Chocolate Malt~
Malted milk powder is still popular at ice cream shops.
It's the necessary ingredient to turn a
Chocolate shake into a Chocolate malt.
There is no mistaking the taste of a
Chocolate malt vs a Chocolate shake.
Malted milk powder adds a layer of toasty, malted goodness.
Malted milk powder and crushed malted milk balls
Give these cookies that same nostalgic taste.

History~
Malted milk powder is a soda fountain ingredient
created in Racine WI
J & W Horlick's slogan from the 1900's
suggested a much broader appeal;
"Horlick's Malted Milk" is made for infants,
invalids, the aged & travelers.
Originally developed as an infant formula
by brothers William and James Horlick.
The company patented an enhanced process of drying malt and
wheat extract in a vacuum.
The formula was later made with dried milk.
The foundation of all malt products is
barley grain that has been sprouted, then dried and ground.
During this process, starches are converted to sugar and
The end result is a sweet, dried grain powder.
A combination of barley malt, wheat flour, milk powder,
salt and sometimes sugar is the malt powder
most widely available in grocery stores and
Used in ice cream desserts and recipes calling for malted milk powder.
