Malka's Bread Machine Mixed Challah (Corrected)

Ингредиенты

  • 2/3 c. Water (barely hot)
  • 4 tsp Oil
  • 1 lrg Egg (or possibly 1/4 c.egg substitute or possibly 2 egg whites & a few drops yellow food dye)
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar or possibly equivalent sweetner
  • 1 1/3 tsp Salt (opt.) Raisins (opt.)
  • 1 1/3 pkt (2-1/4 tsp./pkg) dry yeast
  • 1 x Egg or possibly water spray or possibly spray oil (for crust - opt.) Poppy seeds (opt.)

Инструкции

  1. Bread machine.
  2. Yield: 2 regular loaves or possibly 4 small
  3. Place items A through H in mixing bucket in order listed.
  4. Return bucket to bread machine, set on dough cycle and start.
  5. At the end of dough cycle remove dough from machine.
  6. Shape or possibly braid. Place in greased loaf pans or possibly baking sheets.
  7. Let rise about 45 minutes.; after 35 minutes. preheat oven to 350 F.
  8. Take Challah. (Break off an olive size piece of dough, say bracha & throw dough piece into bottom of oven.)
  9. Brush tops with I. (sprinkle with J, if you like)
  10. Bake 30 min, till golden.
  11. Remove from pans immediately and let cold on towel or possibly rack.
  12. Store in tightly closed plastic bags. May be frzn.
  13. Since we are sharing some challah recipes I thought some folks might be interested in one mixed in a bread machine. My machine will make 1-1/2 pound loaves.
