Рецепт Malaysian Barbecue Chicken Wings
by Ang Sarap

When I live in Malaysia many years ago most of my dinners are enjoyed on their open air food courts like Ming Tien in Petaling Jaya and Asia Cafe in Subang Jaya, first because they are both near where I live, they are affordable and the food here are always delicious. There are tons of choices in these places from noodles, rice dishes and even Western ones. It’s a foodie’s haven as the sights, smell and the atmosphere here is quite different compared to the usual food courts across the world.

I haven’t tried it for some time now so I challenged myself to do it at home in a smaller scale of course. Getting the perfect size and skewering them together was a challenge but once done it’s so satisfying. One thing I learned from making this is that I should have the same amount of left and right wings so there is no odd one out as all right wings go together same as the left ones, you cannot mix and match them in one skewer.

Combine all ingredients apart from the chicken and mix it well, set it aside and this will be your marinade. Place chicken in a zip lock bag then pour marinade, distribute it evenly then zip the bag and let it marinate overnight. Remove chicken from the bag then place it in skewers, place chicken in the oven and bake for 200C for 20-25 minutes then bring temperature up to 220C and set it to grill mode then cook for 3 more minutes or until the chicken is golden brown in colour. Remove from oven then serve while hot. 3.5.3208
