- Mix yeast and 4 cups of flour and the turmeric. In a separate larger bowl, whip eggs, sugar, oil and water. Add flour mixture, blend well. Add the salt and remaining flour, the dough will be sticky.
- Cover bowl with clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.
- Punch dough down, re-cover and let rise another 15 minutes.
- Divide dough in half. Roll dough into a 16x8" rectangle about a 1/4" thick on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread 1/2 cup butter onto dough keeping away from edges. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly. Roll up length wise and pinch seam closed.
- Put on a parchment covered cookie sheet, seam down. Use butter or oil to oil the roll. Cover with a clean kitchen towel.
- For the other half of dough do the same using poppy seed filling instead.
- Let rise for about 1 hour until doubled. Bake for about 20-25 min. until golden brown.
- After the rolls come out of the oven brush them with butter, will soften the crust. Remove from pan.
- NOTE: I use my oven with just the light on for letting the dough rise.
