%20first%20found%20their%20fame%20in%20Indonesia%20about%20twelve%20years%20ago%20after%20one%20bakery%20from%20Bandung%20introduced%20this%20cake.%20From%20that%20point%20on,%20a%20lot%20of%20people%20in%20Indonesia%20started%20to%20commercialize%20steamed%20brownies%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20was%20randomly%20browsing%20for%20simple%20cake%20recipes%20in%20the%20internet%20yesterday,%20I%20bumped%20into%20some%20steamed%20brownies%20pictures%20and%20recipes.%20I%20remember%20my%20Mom%20once%20told%20me%20to%20try%20making%20steamed%20brownies%20but%20I%20was%20never%20so%20keen.%20After%20checking%20few%20more%20other%20tested%20recipes%20of%20steamed%20brownies,%20on%20this%20unusually%20quiet%20Sunday%20morning,%20I%20decided%20to%20try%20the%20recipe%20of%20steamed%20brownies%20created%20by%20Ny.%20Liem%20I%20found%20here.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAwfully%20chocolate%20steamed%20brownies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESteamed%20Brownies%20(Brownies%20Kukus)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETutorials:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20the%20dark%20cooking%20chocolate%20then%20mix%20it%20with%20the%20vegetable%20oil.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESift%20the%20cake%20flour%20and%20cocoa%20powder.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECover%20the%20steamer's%20lid%20with%20clean%20cloth%20then%20heat%20the%20steamer%20with%20big%20fire.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECream%20eggs,%20sugar,%20vanilla%20essence%20and%20emulsifier%20with%20high%20speed%20electric%20mixer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIncorporate%20well%20the%20flour%20and%20cocoa%20powder%20mixture%20into%20the%20egg%20and%20sugar%20mixture%20by%20using%20spatula.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20the%20melted%20dark%20cooking%20chocolate%20and%20vegetable%20oil%20mixture%20onto%20the%20brownies%20batter.%20Mix%20well%20by%20using%20spatula.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDivide%20the%20brownies%20batter%20into%203%20portions%20-%20let's%20call%20them%20mixture%20A,%20B%20and%20C.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%201/3%20of%20the%20brownies%20batter%20with%20sweet%20condensed%20milk%20then%20set%20aside%20(this%20is%20mixture%20B).%20Mixture%20A%20and%20C%20are%20the%20brownies%20batter%20without%20the%20sweet%20condensed%20milk.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20mixture%20A%20onto%20the%20cake%20pan%20which%20is%20already%20lined%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20Then,%20steam%20it%20for%2010%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20mixture%20B%20on%20top%20of%20the%20steamed%20mixture%20A.%20Steam%20the%20brownies%20for%20another%2010%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELastly,%20add%20mixture%20C%20on%20top%20of%20the%20steamed%20mixture%20A%20and%20B.%20Steam%20the%20whole%20brownies%20for%2020%20minutes.%20Total%20steaming%20time%20is%2040%20minutes%20as%20we%20are%20making%203%20layers%20of%20the%20brownies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20done,%20take%20the%20brownies%20out%20of%20the%20steamer.%20Let%20it%20cool%20for%20a%20bit%20then%20release%20the%20brownies%20from%20the%20cake%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDecorate%20the%20brownies%20with%20melted%20white%20chocolate%20or%20dust%20the%20top%20of%20the%20brownies%20with%20icing%20sugar,%20as%20desired.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20above%20steps%20may%20seem%20very%20long%20to%20follow%20but%20in%20real%20practice,%20these%20steamed%20brownies%20are%20not%20that%20complicated%20to%20make.%20We%20just%20need%20a%20little%20bit%20of%20patience%20in%20steaming%20the%20brownies%20layer%20by%20layer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20pleased%20with%20the%20final%20result%20of%20my%20first%20trial%20of%20steamed%20brownies%20today%20because%20the%20brownies%20didn't%20shrink%20after%20I%20took%20them%20out%20from%20the%20steamer%20plus%20I%20got%20pretty%20pronounced%20lines%20for%20the%20brownies'%20layers.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
