%20Anyway,%20I%20believe%20I've%20discussed%20my%20love%20for%20my%20three%20slow%20cookers%20in%20the%20past,%20and%20although%20I%20didn't%20use%20them%20as%20much%20over%20the%20summer,%20that%20love%20remains%20strong.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20I%20suspect%20that%20I%20will%20use%20them%20even%20more%20this%20fall%20when%20the%20little%20bundle%20of%20joy%20arrives%20and%20usurps%20all%20my%20free%20time.%20(Note:%20We%20are%20now%20accepting%20recipe%20suggestions.)%20I%20will%20definitely%20be%20checking%20out%20Debbie's%20blog%20each%20for%20new%20ideas,%20and%20contributing%20when%20possible.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20recipe%20is%20an%20adaptation%20of%20a%20Beth%20Hensperger%20recipe%20from%20Not%20Your%20Mother's%20Slow%20Cooker%20Cookbook.%20I%20used%20the%20spicy%20adaptation%20of%20her%20sauce,%20but%20threw%20in%20zucchini%20instead%20of%20snap%20peas%20(the%20hubby%20DOES%20NOT%20EAT%20PEAS),%20and%20I%20used%20boneless%20country-style%20pork%20ribs%20instead%20of%20spareribs%20or%20pork%20shoulder.%20Because%20while%20I%20was%20digging%20in%20the%20freezer%20for%20a%20pork%20shoulder,%20I%20accidentally%20poked%20open%20the%20package%20of%20ribs.%20Oops.%20I%20also%20thickened%20up%20the%20sauce%20a%20bit%20(I%20wanted%20it%20more%20like%20a%20stir-fry).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpeaking%20of%20Not%20Your%20Mother's%20Slow%20Cooker%20Cookbook,%20I%20was%20actually%20reading%20the%20cookbook%20at%20my%20mother-in-law's%20one%20weekend.%20And%20I'm%20hard%20on%20my%20cookbooks%20--%20I%20flag%20pages,%20I%20fold%20them,%20I%20scribble%20in%20changes%20and%20notes,%20etc.%20So%20I%20was%20sitting%20on%20the%20couch%20beating%20up%20this%20lovely%20cookbook%20when%20the%20hubby%20walked%20in,%20looked%20at%20what%20I%20was%20doing,%20and%20said,%20%22Is%20that%20my%20mom's%20cookbook?%22%20Oh,%20the%20irony.%20I%20held%20up%20the%20cover%20for%20him%20and%20had%20a%20good%20chuckle.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYes,%20I'm%20easily%20amused.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMahogany-Glazed%20Pork%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%206%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Combine%20soy%20sauce,%20marmalade,%20garlic,%20red%20pepper%20flakes,%20and%20ketchup%20in%20a%20small%20bowl.%20Whisk%20until%20smooth.%20(It%20should%20have%20a%20consistency%20like%20a%20thinner%20barbecue%20sauce.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20If%20using%20pork%20shoulder,%20cut%20in%20large%20chunks.%20Brush%20meat%20on%20both%20sides%20with%20sauce,%20and%20place%20in%20slow%20cooker.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Pour%20remaining%20sauce%20over%20meat%20in%20slow%20cooker.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Cover%20and%20cook%20on%20low%208-10%20hours,%20or%20until%20pork%20is%20cooked%20and%20tender.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20In%20the%20last%20half-hour%20of%20cooking%20time,%20combine%20cornstarch%20and%20water%20and%20add%20to%20sauce.%20Add%20vegetables,%20cover,%20and%20continue%20cooking%20for%20about%2030%20minutes%20or%20until%20sauce%20is%20thickened%20and%20vegetables%20are%20crisp-tender.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Serve%20with%20rice.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
