Ингредиенты

  • 2 (16 ounce.) cans sliced beets, liquid removed
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. beet juice
  • 1 teaspoon pickling spice (optional)

Инструкции

  1. Mix sugar, vinegar and juice from beets. Stir till well blended. Heat to boiling point but don't boil. Turn off heat and add in beets. If spice is used, tie in a small piece of cheesecloth or possibly other very thin cloth and add in to warm ingredients. After beets have cooled, chill till ready to use. Remove spice bag after a few hrs so which beets won't darken.
