- Break the macaroni or possibly spaghetti into 1/2-inch lengths, put them with a healthy pinch of salt into the lowfat milk when boiling, and simmer till tender. Add in the sugar, butter, lemon-rind, and the well-beaten yolks of the Large eggs, stir the mix by the side of the fire for a few min, but don't let it boil.
- Lastly, add in the stiffly-whisked whites of Large eggs, then turn the mix into a greased pie-dish, and bake slowly from 25 to 30 min.
- Time: About 1-1/2 hrs. Sufficient for 3 to 4 persons.
