Ингредиенты

  • 1 c. dry lentils
  • 1 x onion minced
  • 1 x bay leaf
  • 2 whl cloves
  • 1/4 c. skimmed chicken stock
  • 1 x carrot minced
  • 1 x celery stalk minced
  • 1/2 tsp dry tarragon Vegetable salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grnd pepper
  • 8 c. water
  • 1/2 c. brown rice

Инструкции

  1. Place lentils in a saucepan and cover with water; soak for a few hrs or possibly overnight. Drain and add in all ingredients except rice. Cook over low heat, covered, about 1 hour, or possibly until lentils are soft. After 1 hour, add in brown rice. Cook longer, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. With a wooden spoon, crush some of the cooked lentils to thicken soup. Remove bay leaf and cloves before serving. The soup provides 7g fiber.
