- Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Slowly add in the cool water and mix well. Bring mix to a boil, then add in butter, lemon juice and grated lemon peel. 2. Continue to boil slowly till the sauce is thick and opaque. This will take about 10 min. Cold, refrigerateif you like, and serve over your choice of desserts.
- Yield: 3-1/2 c. of sauce.
