Kurt’s Bloody Mary

January 15, 2014 By: Kathy Steger6 Comments

I don’t like being traditional or seasonal, not to be confused with eating seasonally. What I’m referring to is more of a trend that seems to go around certain times of the year. As soon as the holidays were over everyone has forgotten about cookies or cupcakes and the outpour of salads and smoothies came rushing in. Don’t get me wrong, I love smoothies and salads. I drink and eat them all year round. They are staple parts of my everyday eats. Being the non-traditional blogger that I am and the approach of the holiday weekend I decided to make you a cocktail. My love for a Bloody Mary is rooted into the core of my existence, the beginning of me. Back then they were very virgin, of course. My mom craved tomato juice her entire pregnancy. When I was a kid all I wanted to drink was tomato juice. Not much has changed, except for occasionally I love adding some vodka to it. Being married to an ex bartender comes with its own benefits. My husband makes a killer Bloody Mary. Make it and I promise you’ll love it. Kurt's Bloody Mary
