  • 4 c. Flour
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 x Yeast cake
  • 1/4 c. Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 2 tsp Sugar

  1. Heat lowfat milk to lukewarm. Crumble yeast in a c., add in 2 tsp. sugar and 2 tbs of lowfat milk. Set aside. Place flour in a large mixing bowl. To lukewarm lowfat milk, add in 3 tbs sugar and salt, melted butter and beaten Large eggs. Lastly add in yeast mix to lowfat milk, beat with egg beater till well mixed. Pour over flour and work in with a wooden spoon till flour has mixed well with lowfat milk mix. Knead for five minutes or possibly till dough is no longer sticky. Put in hot place to rise; when double punch down and knead again for 2 minutes. Let rise again. Roll out dough for coffee cake, horns, doughnuts, nut rolls. If making doughnuts use half the butter. Filling recipe follows.
