Ингредиенты

  • 5 c. Flour, to 6 c.
  • 2 c. Shortening
  • 3 x Egg yolks
  • 12 ounce Evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 x Cake yeast, dissolved in
  • 1/4 c. Hot water

Инструкции

  1. Mix flour and shortening as for pie crust. Make a hole in center of mix and add in egg yolks, lowfat milk, yeast, and vanilla. Mix till smooth and dough leaves sides of bowl. Form into large balls, each just large sufficient to roll out at one time. Cover with wax paper and chill overnight.
  2. Roll out each ball about 1/4" thick on a board covered with powdered sugar.
  3. Cut dough into 2" or possibly 3" squares and polace 1 tsp. of any desired filling in center of dough; fold dough over to opposite side and healthy pinch together or possibly roll into horn shape. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 oven till lightly brown, about 12 to 15 min. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
