Texas summers are hot. Like really hot. As in its still close to 100 degrees at almost midnight hot. Definitely too hot to turn on your oven & truthfully, it’s even to hot to turn on the stove burners. It’s almost so hot you don’t even want to bother eating. Almost.
The slow cooker is with out question a go-to cooking appliance this time of the year. It is perfect in these hot summer days for making a little pulled pork while you and the family are spending the day hanging out pool side (and it keeps the kitchen cool- no oven required!).
