%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20the%20fact%20that%20my%20b'day%20is%20just%202%20days%20away%20I'm%20already%20considering%20something%20chocolate%20for%20the%20day,%20but%20I%20donno%20if%20I'll%20prepare%20my%20own%20b'day%20cake%20(I%20kinda%20find%20that%20weird)%20and%20I'd%20rather%20have%20someone%20pamper%20me%20with%20something%20they%20made%20or%20brought%20than%20me%20cooking/baking%20on%20my%20b'day...anyways%20its%20a%20working%20day%20for%20us,%20so%20plans%20are%20limited%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20brownies%20are%20popularly%20known%20as%20Katherine%20Hepburn%20Brownies,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Enamed%20after%20the%20legendary%20American%20actress%20Katherine%20Hepburn,%20%E2%80%98coz%20its%20believed%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eshe%20is%20the%20creator%20of%20this%20marvelous%20recipe.%20They%20are%20so%20smooth,%20chocolaty%20and%20fudgy%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eabsolutely%20melts%20in%20your%20mouth.%20I%20mean%20like%20literally%20melts%20in%20your%20mouth...trust%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eme!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20are%20so%20simple%20to%20make%20and%20I%20even%20read%20somewhere%20that%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Econsistency%20is%20such%20that%20even%20if%20you%20over-bake%20these%20brownies%20a%20bit,%20they%20still%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eremain%20fudgy%20&%20chewy%E2%80%A6now,%20I%20have%20NOT%20verified%20this%20point,%20but%20isn%E2%80%99t%20that%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Egood%20?%20They%20turn%20out%20with%20a%20crusty%20top%20and%20a%20soft%20and%20chewy%20interior%20and%20are%20just%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eyumm!%20%20These%20will%20forever%20be%20my%20go-to%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Erecipe%20for%20Brownies%20for%20sure.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERead%20this%20before%20you%20start:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20brownies%20may%20stick%20to%20your%20pan%20like%20crazy,%20especially%20in%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emiddle%E2%80%A6.I%20had%20to%20literally%20scrape%20them%20off%20the%20pan,%20breaking%20the%20brownie%20into%20bits%20and%20pieces%20to%20get%20them%20out%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20first%20time%20I%20baked%20these,%20inspite%20of%20greasing%20&%20flouring%20my%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20cut%20out%20a%20wax%20paper%20or%20parchment%20paper%20that%20will%20cover%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebottom%20of%20your%20pan.%20Grease%20your%20pan,%20put%20in%20the%20wax%20paper,%20grease%20the%20wax%20paper%20and%20dust%20with%20flour%20and%20then%20add%20brownie%20batter.%20Once%20baked,%20the%20brownie%20will%20come%20out%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eeasily%20and%20just%20peel%20the%20wax%20paper%20away%E2%80%A6simple!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKatherine%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHepburn%20Brownies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%20approx%2016%20brownies%20if%20cut%20into%20squares%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou'll%20Need%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnsweetened%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20325F%20(165C)%20and%20place%20rack%20in%20center%20of%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECutout%20a%20wax%20paper%20to%20cover%20bottom%20of%20an%208%E2%80%9D%20square%20baking%20pan.%20Butter%20the%20pan%20on%20all%20sides,%20put%20in%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20wax%20paper,%20butter%20the%20wax%20paper%20and%20dust%20with%20flour%20%20on%20all%20sides.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20the%20chocolate%20and%20butter%20in%20a%20stainless%20steel/glass%20bowl%20placed%20over%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esaucepan%20of%20simmering%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20heat%20and%20stir%20in%20the%20sugar.%20Next,%20stir%20in%20the%20vanilla%20extract%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eeggs.%20Finally,%20stir%20in%20the%20flour,%20salt%20and%20chopped%20nuts%20(if%20using).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20into%20the%20prepared%20pan%20and%20bake%20for%20about%2030%20-%2035%20minutes,%20or%20until%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Etoothpick%20inserted%20in%20the%20center%20comes%20out%20clean.%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20let%20cool%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eon%20a%20wire%20rack.%20Serve%20at%20room%20temperature%20or%20chilled.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20used%20Semi-Sweetened%20Chocolate%20as%20well%20for%20these%20brownies%20and%20they%20still%20taste%20great.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20%20I%20have%20baked%20these%20in%20my%209%E2%80%9Dround%20cake%20pan%20as%20well%20with%20a%20reduced%20baking%20time,%20and%20though%20it%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewas%20thinner,%20the%20brownies%20tasted%20great%20and%20you%20can%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecut%20them%20into%20triangular%20wedges%20and%20pretend%20it%E2%80%99s%20a%20cake%20slice%20instead%20;-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20scoop%20of%20vanilla%20Ice%20Cream%20or%20some%20whipped%20cream%20would%20really%20be%20good%20on%20these%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebrownies%E2%80%A6yeah!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20these%20for%20our%20close%20family%20friends%20who%20were%20leaving%20from%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMinneapolis%20and%20they%20had%20planned%20to%20drive%20down%20to%20another%20state%20where%20they%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewould%20be%20settling%20down%20with%20their%203%20small%20children.%20As%20the%20drive%20was%20long%20I%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efelt%20it%20would%20be%20nice%20for%20them%20to%20have%20something%20to%20munch%20on%20and%20I%20made%20these%20brownies%20for%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20chocolaty%20snack.%20As%20I%20wasn't%20sure%20if%20any%20of%20the%20kids%20were%20allergic%20to%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Enuts,%20I%20omitted%20from%20adding%20walnuts%20for%20them.%20I%20later%20tried%20these%20for%20ourselves%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewith%20the%20Walnuts,%20and%20trust%20me,%20both%20ways%20these%20brownies%20will%20blow%20your%20mind.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20try%20them%20out%20any%20time%20you%20crave%20for%20Brownies%20or%20anything%20Chocolate%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHappy%20Fall%20you%20All%20!!%20%20Another%20rhyming%20sentence,%20I%20guess%20I'm%20in%20a%20mood%20for%20rhymes%20today...Teehee...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E-Manju%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
