%20in%20Singapore.%20I%20was%20looking%20at%20my%20recipe%20file%20last%20week.%20The%20file%20that%20I%20had%20compiled%20in%20Singapore%20many%20years%20ago.%20So%20I%20was%20flipping%20thru%20the%20papers,%20I%20saw%20Karipap%20Lapis,%20then%20I%20knew%20I%20have%20to%20make%20this!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPuff%20pastry%20-%20check%20the%20recipe%20HERE%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFilling:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oil%20and%20saute%20minced%20garlic%20until%20almost%20crisp.%20Add%20the%20meat%20and%20curry%20powder.%20Saute%20well.%20Add%20the%20potatoes%20and%20enough%20water%20to%20cover%20the%20potatoes%20and%20meat.%20When%20the%20potatoes%20are%20almost%20cooked,%20add%20the%20diced%20onions%20and%20salt.%20(I%20added%20some%20peas%20too).%20Cook%20until%20dry.%20Remove%20and%20let%20it%20cool%20before%20using.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnfold%20pastry%20sheet%20onto%20floured%20surface.%20cut%20round%20from%20the%20pastry%20with%20a%203%20inch%20(8%20cm)%20cutter.%20Spoon%20heaped%20teaspoons%20of%20the%20mixture%20onto%20one%20side%20of%20each%20pastry%20round,%20leaving%20a%20border%20wide%20enough%20for%20the%20pastry%20to%20be%20folded%20over.%20Brush%20the%20border%20with%20egg%20white.%20Fold%20the%20pastry%20over%20to%20make%20a%20half%20moon%20shape,%20pressing%20to%20seal.%20Transfer%20to%20the%20baking%20tray%20and%20brush%20top%20of%20the%20pastry%20with%20beaten%20egg.%20Bake%20in%20a%20preheated%20oven%20of%20at%20least%20400%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edegrees%20F%20(200%20degrees%20C)%20to%20get%20the%20maximum%20puff%20from%20your%20pastry%20for%2015%20minutes,%20or%20until%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20tried%20to%20make%20some%20Vol-Au-Vents.%20The%20fillings%20on%20Vol-Au-Vents%20is%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efrom%20the%20curry%20potato%20&%20chicken%20filling%20and%20mushroom%20filling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVol-Au-Vents%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
