2 bn Fresh asparagus -- cut into 1 x Inch lengths 2 c. Water 2 Tbsp. Veg. oil 24 lrg Shrimp, cleaned -- and Lenghtwise in half

2 tsp Fresh ginger -- minced 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce 1 tsp Sugar 1 tsp Sherry 1/8 tsp Salt

1. Add in the asparagus pcs to the water. Bring to a boil and continue to cook for 3 min. Drain and save 2 Tbs. of the cooking liquid. Heat the veg. oil in a heavy skillet. Add in shrimp pcs and cook till the color changes..about 5 min. Add in the asparagus, ginger, soy sauce, sugar, sherry and salt. Finally, stir in the 2 Tbs. asparagus water and continue to cook for 5 min.
