Italian Bread Filled With Mushrooms

Ингредиенты

  • 1 x 1 lb. round loaf Italian bread
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 sm onions minced
  • 2 x green onions minced
  • 1 1/2 lb mushrooms sliced
  • 4 ounce Gorgonzola cheese crumbled

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Using serrated knife, cut top off bread and reserve. Cut out inside of bread, leaving 3/4-inch shell. Place bread and top on cookie sheet. Bake till lightly toasted, about 10 min.
  2. Keep bread hot.
  3. Meanwhile, heat butter with oil in heavy medium skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add in both onions and saute/fry till golden, about 10 min. Add in mushrooms and cook till tender, about 10 min.
  5. Reduce heat to low. Add in cheese and stir till thoroughly blended, about 4
  6. min (don't boil). Pour Mix into loaf. Replace top and serve, cutting base and top into wedges.
  7. Serves 4 to 6.
