Рецепт ICED APPLE COOKIES
Posted on December 18, 2012 by The Southern Lady
These apple cookies are great for the holidays with colored icing or just anytime during the year just iced. I make these when I need something to do with apples because my family loves them. They are much better with the icing than without, too.
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick), softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk (could use regular milk)
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apples, peeled and grated ( I have used all kinds of apples in this recipe with no problem)
- 1 cup raisins, Optional
- Cream butter and brown sugar with mixer; add egg, milk, oats and continue mixing. Combine cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda and flour. Add to mixed ingredients. Fold in apples and raisins. Drop by spoonfuls onto sprayed cookie sheet. (Once I drop these cookies, I take my fingers and flatten them. This makes them easier to ice if they are flat.) Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen depending on size you make them. Add glaze recipe below.
- Glaze for Apple Cookies:
- 1 1/2 cups confectionery or powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 tablespoons evaporated milk, more or less
- food coloring, Optional
Combine all ingredients with mixer until of spreading consistency. Spread on hot cookies. Can add food coloring to icing. (I sprinkled mine with colored sugar, too)
Note: This is a good glaze for any cookie.
Enjoy!
