- Slice the ends off the bananas and cut them in half crossways.
- Use a knife to slit through the skin to the flesh along the length of each banana half.
- Take off the skin using your fingers.
- Place the bananas in an electric blender and blend until smooth adding the water a little at a time.
- In a bowl, mix the bananas with the peeled and finely chopped onion.
- Stir in the wholewheat flour and nutmeg.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, pour in the banana mixture and fry on both sides until golden brown.
- Divide into porrtions and serve.
