- Saute/fry the onions and mushrooms in the butter in a large saute/fry pan till the onions are translucent/soft.
- Add in the wine and cook un til the alcohol has boiled off, abot 3-4 min. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a 3 qt saucepan, over low heat, blend the flour and butter into a roux, stirring constantly for 4-5 min. Add in the lowfat milk, continue whisking, increase heat to medium. Cook till mix thickens, whisking occasionally.
- Whisk the mushroom/onion mix into the lowfat milk mix. Then add in the lowfat sour cream and seasonings, simmer over low heat for 10 min or possibly till flavors are blended.
