Hummus!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can chickpeas
- 2-3 tablespoon garlic, minced (add more or less to taste)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- juice of half a lemon
- kosher salt, fresh ground pepper
DIRECTIONS
1. Place chickpeas and garlic in food processer and process until a thick paste consistency has formed.
2. Add olive oil, lemon juice, salt (a generous pinch) and pepper (a grind or two). Process again. If hummus is too thick, add a little more oil or a little more lemon juice.
Calories: 420 entire recipe OR 1.4 calories per gram
50g: 70 cal
OPTIONS: 1 T of tahini may also be added in step 2 though this does increase both calories and fat.
NOTE: Gregory has come to not only delight in hummus, but has now learned to make it!
