%20Its%20super%20cold%20here,n%20all%20I%20wanted%20was%20some%20spicy%20hot%20non%20veg%20dish%20n%20what%20other%20than%20chicken%20to%20feed%20my%20cravings.Compared%20to%20other%20meats,chicken%20is%20really%20clean%20,lean%20n%20easy%20to%20fix.Yesterday%20when%20we%20went%20for%20shopping,I%20just%20threw%20in%20a%20pack%20of%20sliced%20chicken%20breasts%20mindlessly%20into%20my%20cart,never%20even%20imagining%20for%20once%20the%20craving,%20this%20chillness%20is%20going%20to%20give%20me%20today..n%20today%20morning,I%20opened%20my%20patio%20to%20check%20out%20my%20thriving%20daisies%20who%20is%20pretty%20much%20sulking%20drooping%20in%20the%20cold%20and..%20a%20blast%20of%20cold%20air%20hit%20me,shook%20me%20off%20the%20feet..Gosh..goosebumps%20of%20the%20year..:P%20From%20the%20one,my%20tummy%20started%20begging%20me%20on%20its%20feet%20(now,howsat%20possible..aarghh..:D)%20for%20spicy%20kick.I%20thought%20of%20the%20%E2%80%98n%E2%80%99%20number%20of%20ways%20in%20which%20I%20can%20make%20it,n%20I%20usually%20make%20it.No,tummy%20said..I%20want%20it%20spicy%20fried%20black,but%20oh%20yeah%20I%20want%20some%20caramelized%20onions%20n%20curry%20leaves..not%20to%20mention%20it%20should%20be%20tangy%20too..huh..!..n%20then%20this%20materialized..just%20threw%20in%20all%20the%20good%20stuffs%20that%20I%20could%20think%20of,n%20well%20nothing%20can%20really%20go%20wrong%20with%20chicken%20right%E2%80%A6.:)%20%20%20%20%20%20%20Before%20I%20go%20into%20the%20recipe%20part,many%20thanks%20to%20Foodbuzz%20for%20sending%20me%20the%20Natures%20Pride%20Bread..2%20loaves%20of%20goodness..Unlike%20the%20other%20brands,these%20ones%20have%20liberally%20used%20the%20grains%20n%20the%20loaves%20are%20soft%20n%20rich%20like%20the%20home%20made.Friends,do%20check%20it%20out..:)%20We%20are%20having%20a%20bread%20mela%20here..As%20%20we%20have%20bread%20only%20for%20breakfast,am%20making%20it%20in%20all%20possible%20ways,every%20morning.Thanks%20you%20guys%20at%20FB,for%20sending%20us%20such%20awesome%20stuffs(like%20the%20last%20loot%20at%20Asianfoodgrocer.com)%20regularly%20n%20making%20us%20bask%20in%20the%20glory%20of%20J%20looks%E2%80%A6;)%20(Oh%20yea...that%20happens%20usually%20when%20the%20Fedex%20guys%20drops%20things%20at%20my%20door%20n%20I%20go%20to%20pick%20it%20up..:D%20).%20Ok..lets%20go%20to%20the%20recipe%20..:)..As%20I%20told%20this%20was%20an%20impulsive%20dish%20with%20things%20that%20we%20usually%20use..I%20used%202%20breast%20slices%20cut%20into%20small%20pieces%20for%20this,will%20try%20to%20convert%20the%20spice%20measurements%20as%20close%20as%20possible.I%20know%20you%E2%80%99ll%20use%20it%20according%20to%20your%20hot%20tolerance%20level..:)..Also%20,as%20I%20used%20a%20small%20amount%20it%20was%20easy%20to%20fry%20n%20the%20whole%20thing%20was%20fixed%20up%20in%20a%20jiffy.For%20shallow%20frying,breast%20pieces%20are%20the%20best%20as%20the%20other%20bony%20pieces%20will%20stick%20up%20without%20touching%20oil.So%20obviously%20if%20you%20are%20also%20not%20a%20no-to-deep-fry%20person%20like%20me%20try%20this%20with%20soft%20white%20meat%20slices,though%20other%20types%20will%20also%20do%20just%20as%20or%20more%20good,but%20will%20have%20to%20use%20lil%20more%20oil..%20%20%20%20%20%20%20Ingredients%201%20lbs%20chicken%201%20medium%20sized%20onion%20sliced%20into%20thin%20long%20slices%201%20Tbsp%20julienned%20ginger%201%20Tbsp%20minced%20garlic%204%20dried%20Red%20Chillies%20A%20handful%20of%20curry%20leaves%202%20Tbsp%20Lemon%20juice%201Tbsp%20Kasuri%20Methi%201/4%20cup%20minced%20Cilantro%20Coconut%20Oil%20%20%20Roast%20under%20low%20heat%20till%20aromatic:%203/4-1%20Tbsp%20Chilli%20powder%201.5%20Tbsp%20Coriander%20powder%201/2%20tsp%20Cumin%20Powder%201.5%20tsp%20Pepper%20powder%201%20tsp%20Garam%20Masala(%20must%20%20have%20fennel%20seeds,Cardamom,cloves,cinnamom,star%20anise%20n%20mace)%20Ground%20this%20spice%20powder%20mix%20in%20a%20small%20mixer%20jar%20into%20a%20fine%20paste(add%20tsp%20of%20water%20if%20needed)%20along%20with:%203%20sliced%20pearl%20onions%204%20large%20cloves%20of%20garlic%201.5%20inch%20piece%20of%20ginger%203%20red%20chillies(kanthari%20mulaku,green%20chillies%20will%20be%20ok%20too)%202%20Tbsp%20Cilantro%20leaves%20To%20this%20paste%20add:%201%20tsp%20Soy%20Sauce%201/2%20tsp%20Tomato%20sauce%201%20Tbsp%20Lemon%20juice%20Salt%20%20Marinate%20the%20chicken%20pieces%20with%20this%20paste%20and%20keep%20aside%20for%2030%20mins%20or%20more.%20%20%20In%20a%20large%20frying%20pan%20pour%20coconut%20oil%20n%20add%20the%20curry%20leaves,fry%20till%20crisp%20n%20transfer%20this%20with%20a%20slotted%20spoon%20n%20keep%20aside.%20To%20the%20same%20pan,add%20more%20oil%20if%20needed,%20n%20drop%20in%20the%20chicken%20pieces%20from%20the%20marinade.Keep%20aside%20the%20remaining%20marinade.%20Shallow%20fry%20the%20chicken%20for%20a%20while%20till%20the%20marinade%20really%20sticks%20to%20the%20chicken%20n%20it%20turns%20a%20shade%20of%20brown.No%20need%20to%20fry%20for%20long.%20Transfer%20the%20chicken%20pieces%20to%20a%20plate,n%20to%20the%20same%20pan%20add%20more%20oil.%20With%20the%20spatula%20scrape%20the%20bits%20n%20pieces%20from%20the%20pan.They%20are%20darn%20tasty%20n%20juciy.%20To%20the%20pan%20add%20the%20chopped%20ginger%20garlic%20n%20dried%20red%20chillies.Saut%C3%A9%20for%20a%20while.%20Throw%20in%20the%20sliced%20onions%20n%20fry%20till%20its%20soft%20n%20a%20pale%20shade%20of%20brown.%20Now%20add%20the%20remaining%20marinade%20from%20the%20chicken%20into%20the%20pan%20n%20saut%C3%A9%20at%20high.You%20can%20dilute%20your%20mixer%20used%20to%20grind%20the%20spices,with%20some%20water%20n%20add%20it%20also%20to%20the%20pan.%20Now%20add%20the%20chicken%20pieces%20n%20fried%20curry%20leaves%20n%20fry%20at%20high%20heat%20till%20everything%20turns%20black%20n%20dry%20n%20fried.Take%20care%20not%20to%20char%20though..!%20Meanwhile,roast%20the%20Kasuri%20methi%20n%20crush%20it%20with%20your%20hand.%20Switch%20off%20the%20heat%20n%20top%20the%20chicken%20with%20the%20Tbsps%20of%20lime%20juice,powdered%20Kasuri%20Methi%20n%20minced%20cilantro.Mix%20well%20n%20close%20immediately%20till%20use..!%20%20%20%20%20Verdict%20:%20Slurppp..!..Kutts%20told%20that%20this%20is%20the%20best%20Chicken%20dish%20I%20have%20prepared%20in%20a%20while..:P..Guess%20working%20with%20a%20small%20batch%20did%20the%20magic.I%20am%20still%20drooling..Lime%20juice%20plays%20a%20major%20role%20as%20it%20adds%20to%20the%20tanginess%20of%20the%20dish%20which%20goes%20immensely%20well%20with%20the%20spices.In%20a%20bite%20you%20get%20the%20hot%20n%20tangy%20burst..Also%20the%20fried%20aromatic%20curry%20leaves%20n%20caramelized%20onions%20fried%20in%20the%20chicken%20juice%20is%20the%20star%20of%20this%20dish%20n%20we%20both%20just%20snacks%20on%20it..:D..Finally%20the%20topping%20of%20lime%20juice%20n%20kasuri%20methi%20n%20cilantro%20is%20the%20best%20closing%20note%20ever%20for%20this%20quick-fix%20grand%20dish..!%20%20%20Foodies,go%20on%20try%20it,you%20have%20my%20word..Meanwhile,lemme%20go%20n%20take%20a%20bite%20from%20my%20Kadai..:D%20%20%20Before%20I%20sign%20off,I%20wanna%20send%20a%20dish%20for%20Hb%20n%20her%20Just%20Not%20any%20other%20dish%20event%20.What%20other%20than%20my%20Nadan%20prawns%20roast%20which%20gave%20me%20my%20new%20Kitchenaid%20FP%20n%20the%202%20awesome%20cookbooks%20of%20Sanjeev%20kapoor..So%20,here%20you%20go%20hb..:)%20Have%20a%20great%20weekend..:)%20hugs%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
