  • 1 1/2 lb grnd beef
  • 1 c. fresh mushrooms, minced
  • 1 med onion, finely minced
  • 1 sm carrot, chopped
  • 1 x clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. dry red wine
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 c. mozzarella cheese *, (8oz) egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar ragu spaghetti sauce **
  • 3/4 pkt lasagna noodles *** salt and pepper to taste

  1. Shredded** 28 ounce Jar - Slow-Cooked Homestyle*** (3.4 of a 16oz package)
  2. Cooked and liquid removed Preheat oven to 350. In a large skillet, thoroughly brown grnd beef; drain fat. Add in mushrooms, onion, carrot and garlic; sauteeuntil vegetables are tender. Add in wine, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper; cook till wine is almost evaporated. Remove from heat; allow to cold 10 to 15 min. In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine meat mix, mozzarella cheese, egg and 1 tbls Parmesan cheese. Pour 1/2 jar spaghetti sauce proportionately in a 13x9" baking dish. Proportionately spread 1/3 c. meat filling over length of each lasagna noodle. Carefully roll up noodle.
  3. Place SEAM SIDE DOWN in baking dish. Repeat with remaining noodles. Bake, covered, 40 min. Uncover, sprinkle with 3 tbls Parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake 5 mins or possibly till bubbly.
