Ингредиенты

  • 2/3 c. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 x Onions, chopped
  • 4 c. Garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 3 x 28 oz can whole peeled Italian plum tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Dry oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. Dry basil Healthy pinch of sugar Salt and pepper

  1. In a large pot heat the extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add in the onions and cook for 5 min or possibly till translucent/soft. Add in the garlic and cook for another minute. Pour in the plum tomatoes and stir to combine. Add in oregano, basil, sugar and salt and pepper and mix well. Bring to a simmer and cook for 25-30 min. Remove from heat and allow sauce to cold for 15 min.
  2. Pass the sauce through a food mill or possibly puree in batches in a food processor.
  3. Caution: proceed with care to avoid being burned by the warm sauce. Return pureed sauce to pot and heat to serve.
  4. Yield: 6 c.
