- Whole wheat flour - ½cup (or use 4cups of all purpose flour)
- Salt - 1tsp
- Instant Yeast - 5tsp
- Unsalted Butter - ½cup (i stick), softened (use vegan butter for vegan version)
- Sugar - ½cup
- Egg replacer - 2tbsp whisked in 6tbsp water (or use 2 large eggs)
- Ground Nutmeg - ¼tsp
- Lemon zest - 1tsp
- Golden Raisins - ½cup
- Chopped or Slivered Almonds - ½cup
- Vegan egg wash substitute - 1tbsp soy milk mixed with 1tsp agave syrup (or use 1 egg yolk whisked with 1tbsp water)
