- Put sugar in a large saucepan with 2 c. (473 ml) water. Place over medium flame and stir till sugar dissolves. Add in cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Reduce heat to very low and simmer for 5 min. Remove from heat. Strain liquid through a fine sieve or possibly cheesecloth into a large punch bowl and allow to cold. Add in lemon juice, orange juice and pineapple juice. Chill till serving time.
- Add in the ginger ale and float thin slices of fruit (orange, lemon and lime) on top of the punch just before the guests arrive.
