- Combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt. cut in margarine till mix resembles coarse crumbs. Add in egg, water, and extract, mixing lightly with fork till dough forms a ball. Refrigerate1/4 of the dough. Press remaining dough on bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of a 9 inch spring form pan. Spread dough with preserves. On lightly floured surface, roll chilled dough into a rectangle, 1/8 inch thick; cut into 1/2 inch wide strips. Place strips diagonally over preserves to create lattice; press edges to seal. Bake in 350 degree F. oven 35 to 40 min or possibly till lightly browned. Loosen crust from rim of pan; cold before removing rim of pan.
