- Oven at 375 degrees. Yield: 1 loaf.
- In large mixer bowl, combine 1 1/2 c. flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sage, rosemary and thyme; mix well. Saute/fry onion in butter till golden brown; add in to flour mix. Add in water and egg. Blend at low speed till moistened; beat 3 min at medium speed. By hand, gradually stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
- Spoon into greased 2-qt casserole. Cover; let rise in hot place till light and doubled, about 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 min till golden. Remove from pan; serve hot or possibly cool.
