- Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 c. cool water. Pour scalded lowfat milk slowly into sugar and egg yolks. Cook egg and lowfat milk mix in a double boiler, stirring constantly, till it starts to thicken. Take off heat and stir in softened gelatin. Take half of custard and add in melted chocolate; refrigeratetill partially set, then add in whipped cream; pour into crust and chill. Add in mint extract and beaten egg whites to other half of custard and pour over chocolate layer.
