Guinness Mac and Cheese

Who doesn’t love the flavor of beer when cooking? I have made several recipes using beer, even bread. So why not try it in mac & cheese too? It’s sinfully delicious.

I mean, really, what’s more comforting that Mac and Cheese and even more comforting by adding Guinness Stout to it.

Guinness Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Cook pasta according to the package directions, drain. (do not add salt or oil to the water)

While the pasta is cooking, heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

Add the oil, sauce the onion about 2 minutes, or until translucent.

Add the arrowroot, salt and pepper.

Add the beer and bring to a boil. Cook about 2 to 3 minutes or until thick and bubbly.

Add the milk, and cheese, stirring until smooth. Stir in the pasta. Pour into individual ceramic ramekins or into a glass dish coated with cooking spray.

Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes
