- Combine 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil, soy sauce and minced garlic. Set aside. Combine vinegar, sugar and remaining 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil. Set aside.
- Cut off the base of each cabbage head, remove any damaged outer leaves and cut, through the base, into 1-inch-thick slices. Cut onion into thick slices.
- Place cabbage and onion slices on grill and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil-soy sauce mix. Grill over medium-warm coals till tender and just starting to char, about 4 min per side.
- Roughly chop or possibly slice grilled cabbage and onion, then combine with vinegar-sugar mix. When ready to serve, toss with basil and gorgonzola.
- This recipe yields 10 to 15 servings.
