.%20%20There%20are%20two%20kinds%20of%20egg%20rolls:%20one%20is%20the%20long,%20yellow,%20rolled%20egg-based%20cookies%20that%20are%20made%20in%20Hong%20Kong.%20%20The%20other%20(and%20this%20is%20the%20confusion)%20is%20kind%20of%20like%20a%20spring%20roll,%20and%20it's%20also%20a%20rolled,%20fried,%20stuffed%20thing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEggrolls%20have%20egg%20and%20sometimes%20green%20onion%20inside.%20That's%20why%20they%20are%20eggrolls.%20They're%20not%20stuffed%20very%20full%20so%20they%20can%20roll%20a%20lot%20more.%20The%20wrap%20pastry%20is%20round%20instead%20of%20square.%20They%20are%20pan-fried%20instead%20of%20being%20deep%20fried.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20guess%20my%20%22eggrolls'%20are%20supposed%20to%20be%20called%20spring%20rolls.%20Ok%20Mr.%20Spring%20Rolls.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBack%20to%20this%20dish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20a%20hard%20time%20naming%20this%20concoction,%20seriously.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20really%20know%20what%20to%20call%20it.%20I%20just%20put%20what%20I%20liked%20in%20the%20dish%20and%20recreated%20it%20for%20Denise's%20noodle%20challenge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDenise%20Fletcher%20at%20Quickies%20on%20the%20dinner%20table%20is%20hosting%20a%20noodle%20challenge.%20%20Her%20introducing%20noodle%20is%20hard%20to%20top.%20Infusion%20Green%20tea%20soup,%20who%20would%20have%20thought%20of%20that!?%20I'm%20a%20fan%20of%20her%20blog%20so%20anything%20she%20does%20I'd%20love%20to%20partake%20in!%20It's%20fun%20to%20participate%20anyway.%20I%20have%20to%20gear%20up%20this%20dish,%20hit%20the%20paddle%20hard,%20and%20move%20this%20post%20over%20other%20awaiting%20dishes.%20Why,%20you%20ask?%20It's%20because%20the%20prize%20is%20her%20practical%20and%20handy%20cookbook!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIsn't%20it%20gorgeous!?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20Thai%20dish%20called%20Rad-Na%20would%20be%20the%20closest%20thing%20to%20this%20concoction.%20But,%20it's%20not%20quite%20the%20dish%20otherwise%20I%20would%20call%20it%20green%20tea%20rad%20na,%20don't%20you%20think?%20I%20love%20green%20tea.%20So,%20green%20tea%20soba%20is%20ALWAYS%20kept%20in%20my%20pantry.%20I%20like%20fried%20eggs%20but%20I%20don't%20like%20dry%20food.%20Therefore,%20having%20fried%20eggs%20and%20some%20gravy%20or%20sauce%20is%20a%20must%20for%20me.%20The%20gravy%20is%20a%20key%20to%20this%20dish%20as%20it%20ties%20everything%20together.%20I%20didn't%20oven%20roast%20chicken%20for%20this%20dish%20since%20I%20had%20leftovers%20from%20making%20a%20new%20sandwich%20for%20my%20new%20gig.%20However,%20roasted%20chicken%20compliments%20the%20dish%20really%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20green%20tea%20noodle%20pancake,%20I%20don't%20know%20how%20I%20got%20it.%20I%20just%20needed%20something%20%22different%22%20and%20Asian%20like.%20Deep%20fried%20noodle%20is%20too%20simple%20so%20I%20made%20an%20Asian%20mixture%20to%20bond%20the%20noodle%20and%20then%20I%20fried%20it.%20It%20turned%20out%20pretty%20good%20and%20I%20was%20surprised,%20myself.%20It%20was%20savory%20and%20a%20foodgasm.%20I%20was%20willing%20to%20have%20two%20plates%20if%20only%20I%20wasn't%20too%20full.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGree%20Tea%20Noodle%20Pancake,%20Gravy,%20and%20Roast%20ChickenYield:%204%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:4%20fried%20eggs%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eoven%20roasted%20chicken%20breast%20(you%20can%20roast%20skin%20on,%20bone%20in,%20half%20chicken%20breast%20by%20seasoning%20with%20salt,%20black%20pepper,%20and%20drizzling%20olive%20oil%20over.%20Roast%20in%20the%20oven%20at%20%20400%20F%20for%2045%20mins).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20noodle%20in%20a%20boiling%20water%20for%205-7%20mins%20as%20directed%20in%20a%20package's%20intruction.%20After%20it's%20cooked,%20rinse%20with%20cold%20water%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix,%201%20egg,%20flour,%20five%20spice%20powder,%20sale%20&%20pepper,%20and%20milk%20in%20a%20bowl.%20Whisk%20just%20until%20everything%20is%20combined.%20Don't%20over%20whisk%20otherwise%20you%20won't%20get%20the%20sort%20of%20tempura%20texture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20up%20oil%20in%20a%20small%20sauce%20pan.%20I%20used%20a%20small%20sauce%20pan%20to%20avoid%20using%20too%20much%20oil.%20The%20oil%20should%20be%20hot%20around%20350%20F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHand%20curl%20your%20cooked%20noodle%20into%20a%20flat%20circle.%20Use%20a%20fish%20turner/spatula%20or%20anything%20flat%20to%20lift%20the%20noodle%20and%20dump%20in%20a%20mixture.%20Use%20a%20slotted%20turner%20to%20lift%20coated%20noodle%20into%20a%20dish.%20Do%20at%20one%20at%20a%20time.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFry%20the%20noodle%20until%20golden%20brown.%20The%20noodle%20is%20already%20cooked%20so%20we%20don't%20need%20to%20spend%20too%20much%20time%20on%20frying;%20just%20for%20outside%20is%20crispy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20it's%20done,%20move%20it%20to%20a%20prepared%20tray%20that%20was%20lined%20with%20paper%20towel.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20your%20noodle%20is%20done.%20We%20will%20make%20a%20gravy.%20Heat%20up%20a%20medium%20sauce%20pan%20over%20medium%20high%20heat.%20Add%20oil,%20then%20shallots.%20Brown%20the%20shallots.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20chicken%20stock.%20Add%20all%20the%20seasonings,%20fungus,%20and%20bok%20choy.%20Adjust%20the%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20cornstarch%20and%20water%20in%20a%20small%20bowl.%20Mix%20well%20with%20fork%20or%20whisk.%20Pour%20the%20cornstarch%20mixture%20into%20a%20pot%20to%20thicken%20up%20the%20sauce.%20DON'T%20sprape%20out%20the%20cornstartch%20mixture%20at%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20bowl.%20We%20will%20need%20only%20liquid.%20That's%20why%20you%20need%20to%20whisk%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETaste%20to%20correct.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECooked%20sobaBefore%20going%20into%20a%20hot%20oil%20tubI'm%20hot!ChillingGravyAssemble:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20noodle%20first,%20then%20arrange%204-5%20bok%20choy%20stems%20from%20the%20gravy%20on%20the%20noodle.%20Raddle%20some%20gravy%20over.%20Place%20fried%20egg%20on%20top.%20Then%20place%20chicken.%20Raddle%20more%20gravy%20on%20top%20and%20to%20the%20side.%20Don't%20pour%20too%20much%20gravy%20because%20we%20are%20not%20making%20soup.%20Just%20to%20the%20amount%20that%20you%20will%20lick%20your%20plate%20off%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EArrange%20bok%20choy%20on%20a%20pancake%20and%20pour%20some%20gravy%20on%20topPlace%20a%20fried%20egg%20on%20top.%20Don't%20forget%20to%20clean%20the%20side%20of%20the%20plate!Am%20I%20delicious%20looking?Yum.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
