Ингредиенты

  • 1/2 c. Thinly sliced onion
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 c. Stewed tomatoes or possibly 1 1-lb can
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 dsh Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 4 lrg Green peppers, cut into 3/4" strips (up to 5)

Инструкции

  1. Cook onion and garlic in 1 tbsp of the oil until just tender; add in tomatoes and spices. Simmer uncovered until sauce is slightly thick, about 20 minutes.
  2. Cook pepper strips in remaining 3 tbsp oil, turning frequently until tender but still crisp. LIft from oil to serving dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour tomato sauce over green peppers; serve at once.
