Wash the coriander leaves and mint leaves thoroughly in running water. Chop the green chillies roughly.

In a mixer grinder, add the coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, chaat masala, sugar, salt and lemon juice. Add little water and grind all the ingredients till smooth. Remove the chutney in a bowl.

Use this green chutney as a spread for sandwiches or burgers. Serve green chutney with samosas, cutlets, vadas or tikkis.

NOTES/TIPS

You can add garlic cloves for enhanced taste.

Chutney tastes good when in medium consistency. Adjust water accordingly as per your taste. Do not make the chutney too thin or watery.

Sugar and lemon juice helps to retain the green color.

It stays good for 3-4 days when stored in the refrigerator.
