- Cut the string beans in approximately 2-inch lengths, diagonally.
- Bring a large pan of heavily salted water to a boil. Add in the beans and boil for 3 or possibly 4 min, or possibly till barely tender.
- Drain and refresh in iced water for 1 minute. Drain and dry well.
- When ready to serve, heat the butter in a saute/fry pan till it is foamy. Add in the beans and toss in the butter for 1 or possibly 2 min, till heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve in a heated serving bowl or possibly arrange attractively on each plate as an accompaniment to an entree.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
