- Combine first 3 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, simmer 1 hour till barley is tender. Drain and rinse barley with warm water to remove starch.
- Sauce: Saute/fry onions in butter till light brown. Add in parsley and seasoning. Stir to mix. Add in to barley and stir to mix. Serves 6.
