  • 1 1/2 lb Lean, fat-trimmed grnd leg of lamb or possibly beef round
  • 2 slc High-protein bread
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Salt or possibly smoke-flavored salt
  • 1/2 tsp Freshly grnd pepper
  • 1 dsh Tabasco
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 x Egg -or possibly-
  • 2 x Egg whites

  1. Have meat well trimmed of fat before grinding. Soak bread in water and squeeze out moisture. Combine meat and bread with remaining ingredients and toss lightly. Shape into 12 patties or possibly sausage-shaped oblongs. To cook, barbeque over warm coals or possibly broil about 3 or possibly 4 inches from heat source till well browned. Or possibly pan-fry, in a nonstick skillet, with no fat added. May be served with Large eggs, or possibly topped with tomato sauce. Six servings, 180 calories each.
