- Preheat oven to gas mark 7 425F/220C
- First heat the butter or possibly margarine in a largish saucepan then add in the minced onion and cook over a low to medium heat till softened but not coloured about 5 min.
- Now add in the sliced mushrooms to the onion stir and continue to cook for 3 min before adding the prepared beans the thyme salt and some freshly milled pepper.
- Turn the heat down to very low put a lid on the pan and cook the mushrooms and beans in their own juices for 5 min stirring them from time to time.
- Next spread half of them in a buttered gratin dish pour in the soured cream spreading it proportionately over them then arrange the rest of the bean and mushroom mix over which. Finally sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese over the surface and bake in the oven for 15 min.
- Serve warm.
